Here is the thing, I have so many ideas about topics to post and what-not. And you might be surprised at how many drafts I have piled up right now. I just CAN NOT for the life of me find the time or the words to write them. Grrrr.

Wear It Wednesday {Lovin My Cable Cardigan}
Wednesday, January 23, 2013
I absolutely LOVE my beige cable cardigan that I got many years ago from American Eagle. It keeps me warm, it's soooo comfortable, and it goes with absolutely everything else in my closet.
Sadly, last week I lost my beloved sweater (insert sad face). And as of today, I still can not find it. Believe you-me, I have searched everywhere! It sounds silly, but I feel like I've lost a limb or something!
So, in remembrance of my cable cardigan, I thought I would incorporate a similar one in the outfit for this weeks featured handmade jewelry. What IS today's featured jewelry you ask? You'll have to read on to find out!

Witchery Rouched Sleeve Tee
OASIS Lace Hole Aran Cardigan
Strenesse Blue Belt
Monsoon Lucca Wedge Ballerina
And, this Weeks Featured Handmade Jewelry is our Etched Circle of Love Necklaces!
Here is what it's all about: We take a 3/4" sterling silver disc and etch a sweet little heart or other shape, in the center. We can then personalize the rim of the charm with names or a short saying. Patina is added to the letters, the necklace is then polished and lightly brushed to give it a slight matte finish. You can further personalize your necklace with an optional message that can be added to the back of the charm.

Ear Ye! Ear Ye! (Some Tips About Earrings)

Here is my random tid-bit on earrings....
Finding the right pair of earrings can frame your face while adding just the right touch to any outfit. While there are a lot of unique earrings to choose from these days; from everyday wear to evenings out, it's good to know how to select jewelry that adds both sparkle and style to your ears.

Manufactured Earrings Vs. Handmade Earrings
Although I do own a pair or two manufactured earrings, that I really do love, this is still a 'no brainer' to me. Here is what it comes down to. Manufactured earrings are just that, they are mass produced and manufactured by machine in most cases. Plus, your odds of finding other ladies wearing the same pair you are is highly likely. Now, where is the fun is that?
If you'd rather not bump into someone wearing the exact same pair of earrings as you are, opt for a set of unique earrings that are handmade with LOVE. Many of these handmade earrings are crafted using quality materials such as natural gemstones, crystals and other findings. These unique earrings can take your look from simple to sophisticated and are also the perfect gift idea for any occasion or as gifts for friends and family.
Post Earrings, Dangle Earrings, Hoop Earrings....Oh, My!
I'm not going to lye here, I buy whatever earrings I like regardless of the style or what is supposed to look best on me. I have pretty little post earrings, dainty dangly earrings, hoop earrings, tear drop earrings...in all shapes, sizes and colors. The only style I can think of that I don't own are those thread type earrings and that is simply because I just don't understand them.

There are tons of articles and blogs out there that you can read to find what style looks best for you face or skin color. None of which I personally agree with, but that's probably because I am in denial about it. I just want to buy what I like. However, I do have a few tips to share that I found to be true to me.
- When selecting earrings, remember that they should set off the shape of your face.
- Studs such as simple post earrings or pearls are great for longer face shapes.
- Long dangle earrings (my personal favorite) look best on round faces.
- If you have a square jaw, circle and hoop earrings work best.
- Tear-drop earrings are perfect for women with heart-shaped faces.
- If you have an oval face like me, you're in luck. I have found that any earring style will complement your face shape!
Doesn't all this earring talk just make you want to go shopping now? Be sure to check out our handmade earrings over at Whole Soul Jewelry today! What's your favorite ear candy? Let me know!

And The Color Of The Year Is...
Monday, January 7, 2013
Every year a color is selected as inspiration for yearly fashion trends. According to Pantone, the official color for 2013 is Emerald Green.
This color couldn't have been a better choice as 2013 is a great year for growth and renewal.
As a birthstone for May, the emerald gemstone is a symbol of rebirth and believed to bring good fortune and youth...we will go over more about that when May arrives. For now, we can sit back enjoy this years chosen COLOR amongst our trendy clothing, jewelry accessories and home decor.

Another New Year, another chance to wipe the slate clean and start fresh! Today is the first blank page of 364 other pages to live the life you want to live.
"Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties. - Helen Keller
No regrets, just chances to learn some new lessons. I do love the sound of that!
In a previous post 2013 Just Around The Corner... I had mentioned a few of my resolutions in brief for 2013. These resolutions included getting organized; a very BROAD resolution because in reality, I really need to get my entire life organized. Yikes. Also included where staying on top of my blogging, staying in better contact with my four siblings and lastly, the most popular resolution of all...exercise! Another yikes.
I'm going to be honest here, I have NEVER been able to keep a resolution. Perhaps it's because I go all gun-ho making every single thing I want to improve in my life exactly that. Well, not this time. I'm going to try and be realistic this year.
I came across a few other blogs that mentioned creating monthly resolutions instead of a bunch for the year. I like this idea, It's just more practical. I still need to keep the ones I have already promised myself, they are indeed important. In addition, I am going to think of a few more and space them out each month. The organization alone could take a year or two!
Here is what I have for the first six months:
- January - Start eating healthy and introduce exercise more regularly. I am hoping that by starting this one first I will become madly addicted to eating right and loosing weight, therefore, I will stick with it! You can't see me, but I am writing this post whilst I enjoy my leftover Christmas Cookies. Fine, so I'll start tomorrow.
- February - Start that organizing! The closet is a mess, the pantry is horrific, the kitchen drawers, laundry room, medicine cabinet, garage, and don't even get me started on the family room or the entire upstairs level of our house. It's simple really, I'll pick one thing at a time here. Perhaps one room a month?
- March - Dust off my garden. Since having two baby boys, and with the back to back pregnancies, I just didn't have the time or energy to nurture my garden. I do miss gardening dearly, and am thinking the boys are old enough to "help" out this year. I am excited about this one.
- April - Mission Organize Home Office. Nuff said.
- May- Make use of my camera more often and blog or journal about each day. Where I live, May is one of those months that is always so beautiful. The pretty green grass is starting to grow everywhere and wild flowers are in bloom as far as the eye can see. The weather is still chili, but it is all so beautiful.
- June - Purge, Purge, Purge. June is hot, so why not take the opportunity to get rid of all that junk I don't need? This resolution falls into the organizing category too. I have so much "stuff" that I need to either sort, throw away or give to good will. I'll need to go through each drawer, cabinet, closest, and dresser for this one.
